Medal Of Honor

Tier 1 Operations

Lead a new breed of warrior in an adrenaline fueled single player campaign developed with elite tier 1 operatives and inspired by real events.
Fight today's war, battle your way through Afghanistan using the overwhelming force of a large, mobilized military and the surgical precision of Tier 1 operators.

Developed by EA, Dangerclose and Dice, this modern Medal of Honor breaks the typical, and let's face it, old mold set in world war 2. You're part of the elite of the elite, the best and bravest the US military juggernaut has to offer, battling Al-Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan.

You play as Rabbit, an elite Tier 1 operative. The game begins shortly after the 911 attacks on The United States of America. You will have to take and hold Bagram airfield located north of Kabul, sniping from afar to support friendly troops, take control of the gunner in an AH-64D Apache gunship helicopter.

Genuine Tier 1 operatives helped to develop certain parts of this title, obviously they couldn't release classified details or operational details of missions, but mission activities such as the clearing of building tactics, camouflage, where pouches are located, attachments of weapons and their genuine, real to life ranging, and so forth. There were some missions that are inspired by actual events that went into the game, but everything was approved by the Tier 1 guys before it was put in the final game.

This enhances the story, characters and depth of the games emotions they are attempting to portray. The graphics were not sacrificed at all, squeezing every ounce of graphics power out from the Frostbite engine. Explosions look real, shooting debris, rocks, shrapnel and dust everywhere, this is most prevalent during fire support from the AC-130, to take out embedded Al-Qaeda camps.

There's also a Tier 1 mode for the game, meaning there will be no respawning, once your soldier dies, you'll need to restart. Each mission, you have only a certain amount of ammo, you do not heal between missions either, which makes gameplay especially hard. You can compare your score against friends, or see how you stack up against the rest of the world.

The music within the game is climatic and the developer makes great use of it in the critical moments of the story. This game will have you playing it over and over again, with a great representation of the current war in Afghanistan, and the fact that most of the missions are based on real events makes it much more enjoyable for the audience.

I enjoyed playing the multiplayer, but online players are too few and far between, and you'll find yourself with a lengthy wait. However for me, it's all about the story and this one is very powerful and relevant to our time. It's good to see there's no World War 2 setting, which I believe has been done to death.

This is a great game to buy, I know it's a bit older now, but trust me, it's one you will play over and over again and you'll likely get Medal of Honor at a bargain price.

Operation Flashpoint: Red River

Stand Together

Tajikistan 2013, between Afghanistan and China, insurgent guerrilla fighters, the PLA (Peoples Liberation Army) and US expeditionary force face off in a deadly military flashpoint.

You and your fireteam can make a difference. How much is up to you, it's not the guy with the most expensive gun or the biggest heart who wins on the battlefield. It's the smartest SEMPER FI, MARINE.

In this edition of the acclaimed Flashpoint series, we take a short road trip from FOB Copperhead in the north of Afghanistan, into Tajikistan. The scenery looks much the same as most of the middle east, desert... Rocks... Towering mountains with snow caps. The graphics are awesome, and almost cinematic in appearance. I personally love playing the Flashpoint series as it's an extremely hardcore shooter, where there is no being pumped full of lead and walking away. Yeah, that's right, twelve year old C.O.D addicts wont like this one, it'll be too hard. Well, it's actually realistic in terms of how you can be killed and tactics employed by modern day forces. There's no indicator from where your being shot, so basically it's nothing like C.O.D or Battlefield. That alone is worth the purchase, the realism is refreshing from the crappy outputting of the same old crap that COD and Battlefield are renowned for. I especially enjoy this game because one bullet can kill you, and usually does.

From calling in JDAM strikes, Howitzer scatter pattern strikes or to call in the Wings of Death to unleash a deadly torrent of fire and brimstone upon the PLA or insurgents, you'll find these weapons at your disposal throughout the campaign. Weapons fire as they should, with bullet drop, jamming even employing damage effects and range effects for attachments, as well as environmental conditions. These can also affect how far your kill range will be.

As the fireteam leader, it will be your orders that make or break the mission, and consequences lie in your hands. You'll be able to order your team to flank, rush, suppress and take control of mounted weapons, even to protect a certain target, just to name a few of the combat orders. You wont have access to combat support in every mission, but when you do have access to it, unleash a living hell on your enemy. If you're ever in doubt, pop smoke, retreat and re-group, then flank and attack.

Sargent Knox is the Platoon Sargent of Outlaw 2 One, and is your direct commanding officer. You will find out about Sgt. Knox's 10 rules for survival within the game. He does display colorful language, so this game isn't for the kiddies, it only adds to the realism. The Sgt. also cracks a few funny jokes throughout the campaign. You will receive your orders from him directly, then it will be up to you to work out how you will achieve the goals of the mission.

Gameplay is excellent with good replay ability. With firing mechanics that would leave most people awe struck, and some complaining its too hard, but if you're in the market for something more real, then this is a game for you. Also. it boasts kick ass graphics throughout the entire vista. Whether up close, or off in the distance, the graphics hold up to the havok engines beefy abilities, this includes the star filled night sky.

My personal favorite part of this game is that it is more realistic than anything else on consoles. The ability to call in combat supports is a great advantage, being able to get access to theses isn't based on how many kills you get in a row either, which is good because the last time I checked, this isn't how the real military's around the world operate. It's a breath of fresh air into a stale genre, especially for someone who gets bored with multiplayer trash talking about darn K/D ratios.

In summary, this game is great value for money, with a high chance of being played over and over and over. There is a great campaign, extra missions in the following modes; CSAR, Rolling Thunder, Combat Sweep and Last stand missions. You can also download extra maps in "The Valley of Death" map pack. Being one of very few Operation Flashpoint games available on consoles, it's worth buying, just for a break from the mindless close quarters battles that feature in the dominating FPS games on consoles.

The Elder Scrolls V SKYRIM

Epic Fantasy Reborn

The next chapter in The Elder Scrolls saga arrives from Bethesda Game Studios, the makers of the 2006 and 2008 Games of the year. Skyrim re imagines and revolutionizes the open world fantasy epic, bringing to life a complete virtual world open for you to explore any way you choose. The legendary freedom of choice, storytelling, and adventure of The Elder Scrolls is realized like never before.
Dragons, long lost to the passages of The Elder Scrolls, have returned to Tamriel and the future of the Empire hangs in the balance. As Dragonborn, the prophesied hero born with the power of The Voice, you are the only one who can stand amongst them.

This has to be the best RPG I have ever played. The graphics are simply amazing and makes you feel like you're inside an epic world of monsters and magic. Weather your way through the snowy regions or the volcanic planes in the south east, the visuals are flawless. You'll never tire of taking a stroll through the country side in Skyrim, but be warned, many dangers await around every corner, from vampires, werewolves, dragons and even trolls. The landscape is abundant with life in every form, from physical creatures to supernatural and magic creatures.

The game may have you feeling overwhelmed at times, with more side quest's than I've had hot dinners. You'll never be bored here in snowy Skyrim, you get to choose you character's race, gender and abilities. You'll be able to build upon your skills and attributes, as you gain experience through completing tasks. Some of these include Blacksmithing, Alchemy, Lock picking or any of the many more skills and attributes. Best of all, the more you practice, the better the skills get and the higher grade of weapons you can create and sell at a profit. This is how to make easy, quick money in Skyrim without pickpocketing or stealing.

Featured in the image above is one of the 'Stones'. There are 20 or so throughout Skyrim and each helps certain abilities, but you can only have one active at a time. Combat is brutal and bloody, from blocking strikes to being able to decapitate your enemies with one massive blow or pummeling them into submission. Whether you're wielding an over sized battleaxe, shot swords, or even a wizards staff, ranged combat is also a breeze with weapons ranging from bows, fireballs, lightning (Emperor Palpatine style) and other magical means at your disposal.

The kill cams are a true masterpiece to behold if you're lucky enough to get a one shot kill. An automatic kill cam will be enacted, this is awesome for arrow shots. Whether you're taking down goblins, orc's, vampires or just wild deer, the kill cam will give you pleasure in knowing you are a true master of the ability you're using to decimate the enemy.

Again, the famous Dark Brotherhood returns but in a very creepy setting. You fall asleep, when you wake you find yourself bound to a chair, hooded and wondering, is it the end? Let's just say, it's a creepy ordeal. You can also if you choose to join the Empire of the rebel Stormcloaks, this is if you choose to, it's optional, like most other things in Skyrim. The best part of this game is that you can choose your adventure and write the history of Tamriel as you see fit, this will have pros and cons with every decision, but its your adventure to live.

The Daedric Gods will try to tempt you into helping them in exchange for your service, there are MASSIVE advantages to helping them as you will usually get rewarded with powerful items, whether they are weapons, clothing or even rings. The ring of Hircine for example, will allow a player who has become a werewolf to turn for longer. This is a great addition to the Elder Scrolls series by Bethesda studios. Finally we have the natural enemy for the vampire, but on the flip side, the vampire abilities have been taken down to a realistic level, people know what you are just by looking at you. If you're unfortunate enough to contract the vampire virus.

You'll have to fight dragons. There are ways to kill them easily, but be warned, as your level increases, so do the enemies, to keep a balance of power within the game. After you kill a dragon, you will absorb it's soul and spend that awarded point on unlocking shouts, which is an ability you have to learn from the Grey Beards. They all have different abilities, and this is they main quest line to eliminate the dragon threat from Skyrim

Re-playability is massive in this game, whether you want to play as any of the following High Elves; Argonian, Wood Elves, Breton's, Dark Elves, Imperial, Khajiit, Nord, Orc or Red Guard. There are many ways to play the game over, and you don't have to do any quests, you can just roam the countryside, picking plants and practicing alchemy, or kill anyone you cross. This game is a true shining jewel and would be a great asset to any avid gamer, no matter their skill level.

Assassin's Creed III

621797_285756_front
Assassin’s Creed III invites players to experience the untold story of the American Revolution through the eyes of a new Assassin, Connor.
Designed from the ground up over more than two years, Assassin’s Creed III takes one of gaming’s most beloved franchises to new heights.
The year is 1775. The American colonies are about to revolt. You are Connor, an assassin who has sworn to secure liberty for his people and his nation. To do so, you will hunt your enemies across a staggeringly large, open, and realistic world. You will unleash your lethal skills in a violent quest that will take you from chaotic city streets to blood-soaked battlefields in the hostile American wilderness and beyond. You will meet legendary heroes of American history, and together you will conspire to annihilate those who threaten Liberty itself.
Whether you use your predatory instincts to kill silently, or your fearsome arsenal to kill openly, one thing is clear: the world that the Assassins live in has become far more deadly. And so have you.
In Assassin’s Creed III, we meet Connor, trailing in the footsteps of Ezio and Altair. This story revolves around the American revolutionary war, your enemies are smarter and far more numerous in this edition, You will struggle to survive and it’s more of a challenge than all previous edition’s combined.
You start the journey as Ratonhnhaké:ton (Connor) in his village in the Mohawk Valley as a young boy, doing as all young boys do, getting up to no good with a buddy. This stage of the game is a little bit mind numbing to former players of the series but its a necessary part of the process none the less. The skills learned in this early stage of the game WILL save your life many times over if you like to raise hell in the streets as I do, But it also adds a bit of innocents to the character of Connor and is an essential part of the plot building.

I was pleasantly surprised to find the player in the shoes of Desmond Miles doing a lot more than roaming from a shower to a bed and back to the Animus. I would say that 40-50% of the entire game is spent as Desmond fighting and using the knowledge that he has gained from the weeks and months inside the Templar constructed Animus. The bleeding effect has finally paid off, and Desmond can finally kick some Templar ass outside the Animus.

The weapons act like they should with the upgraded physics engine “Anvil Next”. My personal favorite is of course the tomahawk because i like no other weapon better for splicing open the exposed grey matter of the red coats than this brutal and viscous tool of death, some other good weapons are the flint-lock pistol, muskets, axe’s and some brutal looking sword’s.

The newest feature in the series is the best in my opinion naval missions. That’s right I said Naval missions. This feature has to be the crowning jewel of Assassins Creed III, the water texture and general feel is so well done you can almost smell the salty ocean. At one point I tried to cast a net off the couch to catch dinner. The downside to this feature is a big downside, there is not enough naval combat and you are almost invulnerable, the wind physics are a little dicey to manage.

So overall this is the best yet in the series, Assassins Creed  III appears to be the bright star leading you home in the ever dark abyss in the world of gaming entertainment. My most disappointing moment in the game was sadly to see the promise of a much higher evolved combat system not stack up to the hype it was given, however it is not to say that the combat system did not receive a huge tweak from the button mashing from its past.

Multiplayer was again a massive let down not by any fault of Ubisoft, but there are just not enough people playing multiplayer at any time to have a half way decent match without massive ping problems. The Absturgo story is continued through out the mutiplayer experience, but good luck trying to find a good enough session to raise your level within the multiplayer off shoot story line.

Mass Effect 2

screenshot-052-o
Images Courtesy of BIOWARE / EA
Entire Human colonies on many worlds are vanishing. As Commander Shepard, You must assemble the galaxy’s deadliest team to save mankind against impossible odds.
They call it a suicide mission… PROVE THEM WRONG
In this episode of Mass Effect, you take on the role of Commander Shepard, again you’re facing off against a deadly enemy. If you played Mass Effect the original game, you would have had to have made several key decisions. These will, and do follow you into not only Mass Effect 2 but to the very end battle in Mass Effect 3.

For example, if you saved the Destiny’s Ascension in the battle of the Citadel, if you were able to talk down Wrex on Virmire, saved either Ashley Williams or Kaden Alenko, then you will see a big difference in the story unfolding before you, and they both have pros and cons to the story’s tree. But if you didn’t play the first game, don’t despair, you can download Genesis, a 15 min interactive Dark horse comics back story with all they key points without having to play the first game, but I would recommend that you do play it, as it will give you the knowledge that you will need to face the true threat.

You will meet several of your old companions from Mass Effect as-well as make some new pal’s along the way, including an adventure to find out why a single Geth unit is stalking Shepard. You may also meet a genetically altered Krogan and a Drell.

The least enjoyable part of this game is that for fans of the original Mass Effect, this seems to have dropped a lot of what made Mass Effect great in the RPG style for more of a 3rd person shooter, akin to Gears Of War style. This was a big shock to the hardcore fans like myself, I am not big on RPG games but this style really appealed to me. A space RPG/shooter in 3rd person. What made it  great was the fact you could find new amour pieces, for example “Combat exoskeleton X”, which is very powerful and after you find a few of them, selling them to get almost infinite amounts of credits. However, Mass Effect to makes up for this shortfall in bucket loads of “Ezzo”, with the addition of using biotic powers in unison with your squad mates on a single target.

You will also see the addition of new “heavy” weapons like the M-900 CAIN (mini nuke) to name just one, as they are too numerous to list them all. These weapons come at a cost, scanning of planets for resources and hidden secrets will be required. This new exiting feature where the scanning equipment, weapons and even the Normandy’s amour, can be upgraded with materials acquired by scanning planets and of course credits. Another new feature is being able to use the galaxy map to control where you ship is traveling at any point inside any star system on the relay network. This brings to mind, fuel, so there are conveniently placed fuel stations near the local mass relay.

The Citadel is where you take Shepard and his team for a bit of R & R and to sell any spare parts you may need, or have picked up along the way. On the flip side, you can delve deep inside the Terminus Systems (the wild west and lawlessness of the galaxy). Many different races that are not seen in Citadel Space can be found here, like the slave trading Batarians, the Vorcha and many more.

You will have more side quests than I care to remember, but they are all worth completing as they are action packed, it is optional of course.

What I liked most was that you were driven to grind against the grain of the Council’s wishes and the Alliance brass to do anything to save humanity, at a time when everyone but the few believed there was a legitimate threat.

As a stand alone from the series, despite the flaws, it is the most difficult in terms of AI and I personally feel it has the best story in the entire trilogy, Some choices WILL come back to haunt you from Mass Effect and the choices you make here and now will effect the end game and it will affect the future of all advanced beings in the entire galaxy.

The fate of the galaxy lies in your hands. Will you save it or destroy it?

I RATE THIS GAME 7.5 / 10

Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution

Build. Discover. Dominate & Inspire.

Lead your civilization from the dawn of man to the space age and beyond, in an all-new Civilization created exclusively for console. Go head to head with history’s greatest leaders as you wage war, conduct diplomacy, discover new technologies and build the most powerful empire the world has ever known.

In this exclusive console game of the popular Civilizations brand brought to us by Sid Meier, you can choose from the most powerful, influential and revered leaders throughout human history as we know it. The civilizations to choose from are, Arabic, American, Aztec, China, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Greece, India, Japan, Mongols, Rome, Russia, Spain and Zulu, all of which have their individual bonuses and attributes.

There are three ways to win at this funky retro cartoon take on the popular franchise they are as follows; Domination -  I think this is obvious, take over the world by defeating the other civilizations of the world and taking control of three other capitals.

ingame 2

Cultural victory -  You can win this mode by amassing great people from different skill sets, some of these people include Aristotle, from the Arts/Thinkers panel. Then Leonardo da Vinci from the builders panel, Tippu Sultan from the Explorer/Industrialist panel, Florence Nightingale from the humanitarian panel and lastly Pythagoras from the great leaders panel. This is just to name one of many from each panel, they can either be put to work or rush to finish whatever project that particular city is working on. But be warned, this will kill the great person aiding you, and I would not recommend that course of action.

Economic victory – This is won by amassing a massive 20 thousand gold within your treasury and then you will have the option to build the world bank. But this option is not available to any civilization until it meets the requirement of 20 thousand gold in the empires coffers. This is a particularly hard feat to achieve whist waging a fierce and bloody war with the annoying neighbors, who wont keep down the noise at night.

ingame 1

Technology victory – My personal favorite, and it’s the hardest to achieve without killing all of your great people and getting a leg up with wonders of the world. It is achieved by learning all the necessary tech to launch space craft into orbit, where you can add parts as you try to send humanity to our nearest star Alpha Centauri. To increase the likelihood of reaching Alpha Centauri before your enemies do, I personally recommend you have a back up of everything for your space craft, and its worth spending a little more time in turns to make the craft faster, so you will be assured victory once you launch. Having said that, you will not achieve victory until your space craft arrives at the Alpha Centauri system.

civilization_revolution_29

There are at random artifacts placed throughout the world, and not all in one world at a time. They’ll give you anything from temples to be constructed in all the cities you control, lost knowledge, this will instantly teach you a few items on the tech tree for example, ceremonial burial, mathematics or even writing. These are a extremely powerful advantage, and should be a top priority to search and recover these lost treasures.

This game is a turn based strategy and it play as one would not expect, the re-playability is massive and it’s really fun, no matter your level of skill. This game is ideal for party playing or even when you just want to kick back and play a relaxing game after work. The graphics are a little cartoonish, but it actually suits the layout of the game.

endgame

Controls for a game of the genre on consoles have typically been terrible. However, Civilizations Revolution has broken that stigma. With easy controls, anyone of any skill level can pick up the gameplay very quickly and even though it was released in June 2008, I find it to be one of my all time re-playable games.

I rate this game 8.5 / 10

Battlefield 4

crashsite_1920x1080

I haven’t heard a lot about this game release yet, except that you received the Battlefield 4 bata access when you purchased Medal of Honor Warfighter. These trailers and still images are all the information that I have been made aware of at this point. As soon as I have more information, you’ll be the first to know.

The Rockband Franchise

As Kiss once said, I wanna rock n’ roll all night… Paul Stanley, pure genius.
If you’re anything like me and love music with a passion, wish you could play an instrument, then Rock Band is right up your alley. With at least eight different releases on 360, primarily, you need to have a fondness for rock music, hence the title. Lego Rock Band is a great kids game, the only attraction for adults is a new set list to play, unless your a manchild still into the 1980′s Lego craze. And that’s where we’ll start.

1301487806-00Unless your under 12 years old, or desperate for anything to strum your guitar to, give the Lego Rock Band games a miss. Even the song list isn’t worth it unless you like pop songs. With tracks from P!nk, Carl Douglas of Kung Fu Fighting fame, The Jackson 5 and one hit wonder, Ray Parker Jr. Really, how many times can one person play Ghostbusters without the neighbours complaining, ‘there goes the neighbourhood’. Even when it was released, it wasn’t cool, and it definitely isn’t now.
Besides the crap playlist, the graphics are so poor, a 12 year old could have been involved with the design. But, they’re Lego men, yes, but you would expect it to be slightly cuter. Sadly, no.
Like with the rest of the franchise, you can use your microphone, guitar or drum kit and you can play with up to four kiddies, but once your lead singer starts licking their microphone like David Lee Roth, pack it away.

1226059865-00Get out your spandex, it’s time to rock on.
The original, and still the best. The first Rock Band release is still a hit with all the kids. I’d buy it purely to be able to play Dead or Alive, by Bon Jovi. As a young chicklette back in the late 80′s, I had the shaggy Bon Jovi hair. Surprising, I know, considering I was into New Kids on the Block at the time.
When this game when released, it blew Guitar Hero out of the water. It was edgier, and with rock anthems from The Police, The Strokes, Metallica, Nirvana and Kiss, you’ll whip out your guitar so fast, your liable to knock out your housemates… Or mother.
Rock Band has endless amounts of downloadable songs, but they all come at a cost. With song packs so delicious, you’ll need to FIFA hack xbox live accounts just to get your hands on some points to purchase, but it’ll be well worth it. (I do not endorse hacking in any form, just putting it out there.)

1256615550-00ANGUS!
Ohh, how I love a rocking Acca Dacca song, and with a live playlist, this trackpack game release will have you reaching for your pageboy hat and private school uniform. The Geeky Gamer and I would both rock out to this one, and who wouldn’t? With Thunderstruck, Jailbreak and High Voltage, and I’m not even a true ACDC fan.

The ACDC Rockband is fun. My only issue is that you’ll find yourself missing notes, trying to sing along at the same time. Just ask the Geeky Gamer, and I can still kick his sulking behind.

After the success of the original Rockband, the franchise just kept expanding… Sadly. Harmonix went on to release The Beatles Rockband, Greenday, and Rockband 2 and 3. All with one or two popular songs, mixed in with dodgy one hit wonders that I wouldn’t even dream of singing in the shower. Of course, it all depends on your musical tastes, and if you have none, then they might just float your boat.

Like most franchise releases, whether it be movies or even games, the original is still the best.

Apache Air Assault

Take to the air as you pilot the most lethal attack helicopter on the planet, the American built Apache AH-64

window glare
Using the latest in cutting edge military weapons technology fly attack, reconnaissance, escort and rescue missions deep behind enemy lines around the world. Defend civilians from heavily armed pirates off the coast of Africa, hunt down terrorists in the mountains of central Asia, and take down enemy choppers in intense areal combat over the jungles of Central America.
Developed by Gaijin entertainment and published by Activision, Apache Air Assault is an attempt at an arcade like flight simulator for attack helicopters. With a suprisingly beautiful graphics engine, featuring true to life functional gadgets in the well rendered cockpits. The scenery was not forgoten either, it has a seamless ability to simulate speed and g-force blur, whilst delivering maximum performance as what I believe is the closest thing most of us will ever come to flying this behemoth of war.

gadgets

You’ll have limited fuel, rockets and bullets attached to your Apache and must land at helipads or a friendly FOB (Forward Operating Base) to refuel and re-arm, thus the simulation. Your training kick starts the campaign and you can choose weather or not you would like realistic flight controls or assisted controls, which is much easier. However, I personally prefer to have the realistic controls. In the realistic mode you will have to battle between forward pitch, thrust and cross winds blowing the tail rudder, this allows for some fancy attack moves and low flying passes on unsuspecting cows and goats.
Game play is a breeze and easy to learn, although the campaign does jump a little from region to region. The story is a compelling one, which you will discover through game play, as I don’t want to reveal any spoilers. You will battle insurgents in the mountains of the Asian region and terrorists in Africa, in an attempt to quell the violence surrounding elections in that particular country. Your skills will be tested, facing off against the AH-64 Apache’s natural enemy the MI-24 Hind, this Russian built monster easily goes toe to toe with the more advanced Apache. What the Hind lacks in electronic warfare it makes up for with rockets, rockets and more rockets.

ah64 v mi-24

You will be able to take the seat of both pilot and gunner throughout the campaign, or have a friend take the other seat in co-op mode. This can be an advantage when facing numerous enemies, or finding yourself turning tail and having to re-group for a surgical strike. The stunning visuals were also applied to the Hellfire missiles and other armaments. If your conducting a low pass attack with the 2.75 inch rocket pods, you can see sweet explosions as they undoubtedly hit their mark, causing terrorists to have a very bad day. It’ll send shrapnel flying up into your flightpath, followed by lovely mushrooms of fire. The dust will impair your vision as you take off and land on any non tarmac helipad, and the real to life physics of the graphics engine blow the dust around and up somewhat clouding your vision. The gunners seat even includes thermal vision, changeable white /black hot imagery, zoom functions and auto hover, to line up the perfect shot.
The co-op goes one step further, being able to complete missions with a pal over Xbox live or the internet. These are a separate story to the main campaign and are a lot more difficult to complete, given bad ping rates on the servers in my experience. The re-playability of this game is huge, as you can do some basic mission editing and helicopter modifications. In this mode, you can use futuristic drone choppers or different iterations of the Apache, and even the feared MI-24 Hind.

rocket battery

Overall, this game nailed the simulation, even down to the realistic damage you would take if you were silly enough to get so close to the enemy, to be shot by small arms of the back of a four wheel drive ute. The controls are also affected by damage, which I think is another reason Gaijin nailed their target. This game is definitely one to add to the Christmas list kiddies, as you may very well grow up to be an attack helicopter pilot. Until that point, step into the cockpit in Apache Air Assault and get the adrenalin pumping. You could swear it’s almost the real deal, where even the sounds may have you looking out of your living room windows, to see if there is a military strike inbound on your position. This is one simulation that nailed consoles finally, and I hope we can look forward to many more from Gaijin.

low pass

Okay here it is guys one for the record books, even though the campaign is a little jumpy it should loose points but I can not overlook the perfectness of the simulation being nailed on the consoles, which cancels its only flaw out in my opinion

I RATE THIS GAME 10 / 10
